There are some different types of pay scale of Special class railway apprentices:

Kingfisher pays it pilots - Around - 300000 p.m. + and its director even more

A Tata Group of Company compensates it Managers with a gross package of 30 / 40 / 50 lacs p.a. that are head of a small manufacturing unit.

A shipping company easily compensates its ship captains / Chief Engineers into few lacs a month.

A chef in a five star hotel earns more than any officer of SCRA can imagine in Indian Railways.

Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission

Salary is according to pay band decided by central govt

The starting salary of SCRA depends on the
1: Technical (SCRA exam passed candidates 13000/- per month)

2:NON-technical (SCRA exam passed candidates 9000/- per month)

Age limit:
Minimum age 17 years
Maximum age 21 years

Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent Exam from recognized Board with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

Graduates with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects

Selection Process:
Candidates are selected based on Written Examination & Interview.

Exam Pattern:
It has three papers:
General Ability Test
Mathematics
Physical Sciences
