Solutions to Water Problems

Water scarcity involves water crisis, water shortage, water deficit or water stress. Water scarcity can be due to physical water scarcity and economic water scarcity.

Physical water scarcity refers to a situation where natural water resources are unable to meet a region’s demand and economic water scarcity is a result of poor water management resources.

Causes of Water Scarcity

-Overuse of Water

-Pollution of Water

-Conflict: If there is conflict over an area of land, it may be difficult to access the water that is located there.

-Distance: There are a number of areas throughout the entire world that deal with water scarcity because they just aren’t close to anywhere that has water.

-Drought

-Governmental Access: In some countries, specifically those with dictatorships, the use of water may be strictly controlled by those in power, causing a scarcity for those who may be located in those areas of the world.

Here are some of solutions for Water Shortage:

1. Use of water at home should be reduced by atleast 5 litres per person by smartly using the water. For example, the tap should be off while shaving & brushing the teeth. Only use it when it is required.

2. Lots of trees should be planted across the countries and the world for better rains.

3. Government should make Rain Water Harvesting compulsory for all the buildings, individual houses, corporate houses and manufacturing units.

4. The Government should create water reservoirs every 20 kilometers across the country. And we should make sure we keep up the pressure on them to do the same.

5. All of us should take the responsibility to not only teach our family but everybody we can, about the scarecity of water and the ways to reduce its wastage.

6. Government should also need to mandate tree plantation across the country.

7. There should be more dams constructed, especially at the places where the rain water gets drained out without utilisation.

8. Government should set up plants to recycle water across all the cities of the country. At an individual level all the citizens of the country should recycle water by using water for gardening, cleaning etc.
