SECTION – I
Unit 1 : Linear Differential equations with constant coefficients– Basic defination, differential
operator, complimentary functions, particular integral shortcut method for standard functions like

Unit 2: First Order Partial Differential equations– Non-linear partial differential equations of

equations by Lagaranges method. [5 Hrs.]

Unit 3: Laplace Transformefinition, Laplace Transform of standard functions, Properties-
First shifting, change of scalar, multiplication ofpower t and division by t, Laplace Transform of
derivative and integral, Laplace transform of Periodic functions, Unit step functions and unit Impulse functions.

Unit 4: Inverse Laplace Transform: Methods of finding Inverse Laplace transforms,
Convolution Theorem, Applications to solve linear differential equations related to electrical
circuits with constant coefficients.
