Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is functioning as intended and free of vulnerabilities ,it is a research and development center and work for improving organizations' software engineering capabilities.

The Capability Maturity Model (CMM) is a methodology used to develop refine and improving an organization's software development process. This model describes a five-level evolutionary path of increasingly organized and systematically more mature processes.
CMM's Five Maturity Levels of Software Processes

Initial Level
Repeatable Level
Defined Level,
Managed Level
Optimizing Level
