Hey the SMU OIT Software services is service type which provide discount software & computers for students


Well the Apple and Windows platforms are fully supported and compatible with campus IT services.

The following are suggested minimum requirements for a personal computer:

Processor: 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 or higher

Memory: 4GB (8GB or more recommended)

Storage: 256GB or better.

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 or better.

Wireless: 802.11n WiFi wireless networking; IEEE 802.11a/b/g compatible

Optional: Ethernet Port, DVD Drive, Webcam

REQUIRED:

Windows laptop or Mac laptop with Windows operating system (Bootcamp, Parallels or VMware for Mac Labtop)

Office for Windows 2013 / Mac 2011 or newer.*

ITOM and Stat courses require Solver for Excel add-ins and StatPlus:mac LE (Mac users only)
