SMU Email Password Reset

I am student of the Sikkim Manipal University and I want to know about reset password so provide me details about it and also give me tips and usage of password?

Following is tips and usage of SMU Password:

Passwords should not contain simple transformations of words (7eleven, seven11, etc)
Passwords should not be written down
Passwords should not contain words that can be found in a dictionary, or foreign words
Passwords should be easy to remember, but difficult to guess
Passwords should not contain personal information, including birth dates, anniversary dates, license plates, phone numbers, addresses, family member names, pet names, etc
Passwords should not be shared with anyone, including supervisors, co-workers, and IT Staff members.
Passwords should not contain sequential alphabet or keyboard information (abcdef, 654321, qwerty, etc)
Passwords should not be sent via email, instant message, or cellular phone “text message”
No one should ask you for your password.

Reset

If individual password does not have a working then this step is used. During this process, the individual provides their SMU ID number. They are then presented with the questions configured during enrollment. If the correct answers are provided, the individual can then reset their SMU password.
