I want to get admission in PhD in law in Singhania University so can you please tell me the eligibility criteria for admission in this course?

Singhania University has been established by the Government of Rajasthan in 2007. It is a UGC recognized private university as per Sec. 2f of the UGC Act 1956.

PhD in Law-

Eligibility criteria-

For Research Scholar-

The Master's degree (not the Diploma) or equivalent in the law subject of post graduation or any allied subject

If the candidate have less than 55% marks at the postgraduate examination but secures a second division at postgraduate as well as at degree level, then he/she will be eligible for admission to the degree of Ph.D.

In exceptional cases relaxation in minimum eligibility condition may be given by the Vice-Chancellor in consultation with the subject expert.

For Research Supervisor:

Ph. D degree holder with experience in any institution, industry or in any other field can apply to the Research Board of the university to be an approved supervisor of the university.

Retired professors employed on regular basis in private/govt. institutions may also be recognized as research supervisors.

The research supervisor needs to send the application along with the documents (10th & PG Marksheets, Ph.D. Degree, Resume & Appendix-VII)

Entrance Test and Admission

The University admits a limited number of candidates directly to M.Phil / Ph.D Programme either on the basis of viva-voce or written examination and viva – voce for winter and summer semester in various areas of research.
