Sikkim Manipal University is a funded, co-educational, public-private university in Gangtok, Sikkim, India. Established in 1995, the university is credited as being the first P3 education and health care initiative in the region.

About the MCA Course

The Master of Computer Application program at The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is aimed at providing students with academic skills, logic and reasoning ability for their overall development to help them get jobs in the public and private sectors and the software industry.

The course is approved by AICTE and is accreditated by NS-EN ISO 9001:2000.

Duration : 3 year


Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level.
The candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination which will be conducted by SMIT.
Nine seats are reserved for candidates of Sikkimese origin. Candidates for this category will be recommended by Director Technical Education HRD, Government of Sikkim.
