Sikkim Manipal University Approved to UGC

Hey, my cousin want to do B.Tech from the Sikkim Manipal University . Is the B.Tech degree given by the Sikkim Manipal University is recognized by the UGC ? Is the course offered by all center of the SMU are approved by UGC or not ?

Can you tell me if SMU DDE (Sikkim Manipal University Directorate of Distance Education) is approved by UGC (Union Grant Commission)?

SMU (Sikkim Manipal University), Gangtok is incorporated under the State Legislative Act (Act IX of 1995) of the Government of Sikkim. It is recognised by UGC under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956.

Current Recognition Status
Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok is recognised by UGC to continue offering programmes through Open & Distance Learning (ODL) mode for the session 2017-2018 vide F. No. UGC/DEB-II/SMU/Recog./2015 Vol. V of the University Grants Commission dated 21/03/2017.
