Re: Scope in Dentistry in India

The scope of BDS course is very high nowadays.
After completion of BDS you can either start working or do PG course like MDS (Masters of Dental Surgery) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Dentistry

There are lots of job options after BDS in both firms private as well as public sectors

Excellent employment opportunities are available for dentists -
Dental Departments in Hospitals
Nursing Homes
Dental Clinics
Health Departments

There are also opportunities in companies producing oral care products like toothpaste, mouth wash, and gum care products.

In government hospitals, a newly trained dentist could begin around Rs 6,000 a month, while in private hospitals it could be slightly less.

Post-graduate degree holders can expect to start on from Rs 7,000 upwards.
