Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy formerly known as SASTRA University was formed in the year 1984 and it is a deemed university situated at Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India.

It is affiliated to UGC, AICTE, SIRO, NAAC, AIU .

It offers Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) course .

Duration for the Programme—

The postgraduate programme leading to the degree of MCA extendover a period of six semesters (3 academic years);

Each semester will normally have a duration of 85
working days.

Eligibility –

Lateral Entry:

Students with the following qualifications are directly admitted to the third semester of the six semester M.C.A programme:

a) Applicants must have obtained any undergraduate science or applied science degree of three years duration in Computer Applications or Computer Science or Information Technology or other computer related areas.

b) Applicants must have completed Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application after completing 3 year degree programme.

If you scored 65% or above in ug..then you are eligible for lateral entry.
