Tiwari , the current Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar is Ph.D. Geology (Palaeontology) from Gauhati University. He did his M.Tech. in Applied Geology from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar. Career : Before joining as the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar he held key positions in other reputed universities in India. He served as Dean in School of Earth Sciences & Natural Resource Management and Head, Dept. of Geology, Mizoram University. Achievements Dr. Tiwari has got eighty research papers published and edited two books. He is also involved in various research projects and till date completed eight projects successfully. Dr. Tiwari is providing his valuable guidance to research scholars and has served as guide for twelve Ph.D. candidates whereas eight candidates are still doing their Ph.D. under his guidance. He is member of eight national academic bodies and has attended 25 national & international seminars/symposia etc. He successfully organized seventeen national/international seminars/symposia/workshop/training courses.
