Re: Reservation details in the exam of Indian Engineering Service

As you want to get the reservation details in the exam of Indian Engineering Service so here it is for you:

Reserved categories are exempted from payment of application of fee however, the OBC and General Category candidates will have pay Rs. 200 as application fee.

The upper age limit is is 30 years but it will be 35 years in case of Government servants of the following categories and Departments:

Railway Department
Central Public Work Department
Military Engineer Services
The corps of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, Min. of Defence
Directorate General Ordance Factories
Central Water Commission
Central Electricity Authority
Wireless planning and coordination wing/ Monitoring Organization
Boarder Roads Organisation
Indian Navy
Directorate General of Supply and Disposal
Department of Telecom
Ministry of Road, Transport & Highways

A candidate who has been in a temporary service on a regular basis in the above mentioned department for atleast 3 years on 1st January, 2013.

The upper age limit is maximum of 5 years in case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST).

Upto a maximum of three years is relaxed in the case of OBC candidates in relation to IES 2014 Reservation Of Seats.

Upto a maximum of of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period ranging from 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989.

Upto a maximum of three years for Defence Service Personnel disable in operations during hostility.

The IES 2014 Reservation Of seats are also made for ex-servicemen including commissioned Officer and ECOs/SSCOs who have atleast rendered 5 years military service is upto maximum of three years,

Upto a maximum of five years is relaxed in the case of ECOs/ SSCOs and have completed an initial period of five years of Military services.

The candidate in whose case Ministry of Defence has issued the certificate and the upper age limit has been extended beyond five years.

Upto a maximum of 10 years in case of deaf mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates.
