In order to become a Customs Officer you have to appear for the Civil Services Examination. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Here are the details of this examination:

Nationality:
A candidate must be a citizen of:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Required qualification:
The applicant should have completed Degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India

Last Date for Applications: - 30.06.2014 (Monday)
Date of Commencement of Exam: - 24.08.2014 (Sunday)
Duration of Exam: - 1 Day

To become Customs Officer candidate should have to appear in written exam of conducted by the UPSC.

Eligibility criteria:-

Nationality :
Candidate should be an Indian.

Qualification:

Candidate must hold a bachelors degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized University.


Age limit:-

21 to 30 years for General category candidates.

For OBC category candidates :
21 to 33 years

SC / ST category candidates :
21 to 35 years.
