Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test organized by ICAI for admitting the aspiring students to Chartered Accountancy course.

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates can apply for the Common Proficiency Course after passing class 10th exam .

Candidates who have passed in the class 12th exam can then apply for the CA CPT exam.

As last date to apply is over , better luck next time .

Important Dates :

Notification was published on 20th Jan, 2015

Last Date of Registration was 28th Apr, 2015

CPT Exam was held on :14th Jun, 2015

Paper Pattern:-

The test comprises of four subjects viz., Accounting, General Economics ,Mercantile Laws, and Quantitative Aptitude.

CPT is an objective type test with negative marking.

This test is for 200 marks and of two hours each with a break in between.

Session – I

Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 marks )

Section B: Mercantile Laws ( 40 marks )

Session – II

Section C: General Economics ( 50 marks )

Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 marks)

Registration of CA CPT Exam is based on online mode. Candidates can apply by visiting official site of ICAI and then apply for CPT exam.

Before filling form candidates wants to get registration for application form.

Last year notifications for 2015 year examination detail are Postponement of Common Proficiency Test (CPT), scheduled on 13th December, 2015 in the states of Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andhra Pradesh only.

It is here by notified for general information that in view of heavy rains and consequent disruption of normal life in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andhra Pradesh, the CPT scheduled on 13th December, 2015 (Sunday), in the said states stand rescheduled to 27th December 2015 (Sunday)

Last date for registration to CPT Course with BOS 1st October, 2015

Commencement of Online filling of CPT Examination Form 6th October, 2015 (10:00 A.M. IST)

Last date & time for Login Creation/Submission of CPT Examination application form Online 27th October, 2015 upto 5:30 P.M. (IST)
