Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute was founded by B.K.S. Iyengar, ( Bellur Krishnamachar Sundararaja Iyengar)

The institute was established on January 19, 1975 and is dedicated to Smt. Ramamani Iyengar, the wife of Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar.

The eight aspects (astanga) of yoga are :
