Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET) is a premier educational institution which offers engineering education and research courses. It is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. M.Tech. Programmes in: Communication Engineering Computer Science & Information Systems Industrial Drives and Control Network Engineering Signal Processing VLSI Design & Embedded Systems Admission • Eligibility is subject to the rules and regulations of Mahatma Gandhi University/AICTE. • One must be citizens of India. • One has acquired the prescribed qualification from an institution approved by the AICTE and Mahatma Gandhi University. • One must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in BE / B.Tech in the respective discipline. • For SC/ST candidates a pass in the above mentioned degrees is sufficient • One who have passed AMIE/AMIETE exams and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission to institutions under Universities of Kerala. • One must have valid GATE score • A minimum of 55% marks for Section B in AMIE/ AMIETE exam • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree. • Non GATE applicants need to appear for a test conducted by the Institution. • One who have qualifying degree awarded from universities other than M.G. University shall submit Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University as well as Migration Certificate at the time of admission. • One who have appeared for final exam of any of the qualifying exams may also apply provided one has passed all the subjects up to and including 7th semester. Selection of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree at the time of admission. PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION: • The selection is based on the valid GATE marks. • If sufficient GATE qualified candidates are not available, the selection is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the test conducted by the college. • One who have completed the Bachelor Degree at RSET will be eligible for 5% weightage in calculating index mark/merit. • Sponsored candidates having more than 2 years experience is given extra weightage based on their experience subject to a maximum of 10 marks out of 100. @ 2 marks for every additional completed year of experience. • One currently working at RSET with a minimum of two years experience at RSET shall be eligible for 15% weightage in the index mark/merit. • Merit list for the different categories is published on the website/college notice • Selection is strictly on the basis of inter-se merit. For Non-Sponsored (without Valid GATE Score) category index mark is calculated based on the following weightage, o • Qualifying Exam (40%) and Entrance Exam (60%). o • For Sponsored category index mark is calculated based on Qualifying Exam (40%), Entrance Exam (50%) and Post qualification experience (10%). • Short listed one have to undergo a personal interview. |
