Applicants can apply for the CBI through combined graduate level examination conducted by the SSC every year .

This examination is taken for following posts in CBI ::

Sub-Inspector
Assistant Public Prosecutor
Senior Public Prosecutor

Eligibility ::
Students age must be between 20 years to 27 years for general category .

For OBC : the upper age limit is 30 years which means there are 3 year relaxation given

For SC/ST the upper age limit is 32 years which means there are 5 year relaxation given

Eligibility Required for CBI:
1. Should have completed Graduation from Any Stream
2. Should be Citizen of India.
3.Should have 60% marks in Graduation from Discipline University.

Structure of the examination ::
Written test
Interview
Medical Test.

The questions are asked generally from the following topics
Numerical Aptitude
General Intelligence Reasoning
General Awareness
English Comprehension

Physical Standards required:

Chest: 81 cms.(fully expanded with a minimum expenses of 5cms)

Height: 165 cms relaxable by 5 cms for Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas, Tribals, Nagas & Scheduled Tribes who as a race are short in height.

Intelligence Bureau Personal Assistant /Junior Intelligence Officer Exam (IB PA/JIO Exam) is conducted by IB, Ministry of Home Affairs for direct recruitment of India Nationals to the post of Personal Assistant and Junior Intelligence Officer Grade –II/Tech.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Personal Assistant:

Educational Qualification:
Candidates should be 10+2 pass or equivalent with proficiency in stenography

Desirable:
Knowledge of computer operation, viz., Windows 2000/ 2003, MS Word, etc\

Age Limits
Candidate should be between 18 - 27 years


For JIO-II (Tech):

Educational Qualification:
Candidate should be Matriculation with two years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) passed certificate in Radio Technician or Communication or Computer or Electronics or Electrical.
