The Department of Law of Punjabi University offers LLB 3 Years and LLM 2 Years Degree Programs.

As you want to do LLB Course, so here I am providing following information related to admission requirements:

Admission Requirements:
Have Bachelor Degree in any discipline from recognized University with minimum 45% marks

The University conducts Entrance Exam for admission in LLB Course.

Duration: 3 Years

Curriculum:

First Semester
1. Jurisprudence
2. Constitutional Law-I
3. Law of Contract
4. Family Law-I
5. Law of Torts, Motor Vehicle Accidents and Consumer Protection

Second Semester
1. Environmental Law
2. Constitutional Law-II
3. Special Contracts
4. Family Law-II
5. Public International Law

Third Semester
1. Law of Crimes-I
2. Labour and Industrial Law-I
3. Law of Property
4. Administrative Law
5. Option : Any one of the following :
(a) Offences against Child and Juvenile Offence
(b) Law of Equity, Trust and Religious Endowments
(c) Human Rights Law and Practice

Fourth Semester
1. Law of Crimes-II
2. Labour and Industrial Law-II
3. Company Law
4. Option : Any one the following ;
(a) Insurance Law
(b) Co-operative Law and Agriculture Insurance
(c) Local Self Government and Panchyat Adminstration
(d) Banking Law
5. Option : Any one the following :
(a) Direct Taxation
(b) White Collor Crime
(c) Competition Law
6. English (Communication Skill)*

Fifth Semester
1. Civil Procedure Code and Limitation Act
2. Law of Evidence
3. Land Laws including Tenure & Tenancy System
