Re: Punjab State Education Board Of Technical Education

Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training is an advisory body for technical education institutions in the Punjab region of India.

It was established by the Government of Punjab under The Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training 1992 Act.

This organisation is regulating and controlling academic standards in Institutes of Technical Education and for making admissions & conducting examinations in Polytechnics and Industrial Training Institutes located in the state of Punjab and Chandigarh.

The board provides training for teachers and supervises the teaching of its syllabi. It provides teaching material and makes education material available to students.

The following officers of the Board assist the Chairman and Secretary of the Board:

Registrar-cum-Controller of Exams Dr. Navneet Walia
Controller Exam (ITI) S. Daljinder Singh
System Administrator Mrs. Ambica Chawla
Controller (F&A) Sh. M.C. Tiwari
Dy. Director Academics Dr. Kamlesh Kumari
Administrative Officer Sh. Sandeep Bajaj

The Board makes admissions to 33 Engineering Diploma Courses in 165 Institutions affiliated to the Board in the State of Punjab and Chandigarh (U.T.).

The Board admits about 65,000 students to various diploma courses in these Institutes.
