The Guru Nanak Dev University has a Punjab School of Economics centre. The Punjab School of Economics was established in 1974 with the objective to impart value oriented education under the stewardship of Prof. K.S. Gill, a great visionary of National and International repute.

The Schools achievements were recognized by the UGC and SAP was granted to the School in 2004
