Two Year M. Sc. Degree Program in Statistics

M. Sc. Insights program is of least 100 credits spread more than four semesters. This program is offered at the Department of Statistics, Savitribai Phule Pune University. The program stresses both hypothesis and utilizations of insights and is organized to give learning and abilities inside and out fundamental for the employability of understudies in industry, different associations, and in scholastics. The program has some novel components, for example, free activities, countless courses, pre-imperative framework and broad PC preparing of measurable calculations including standard programming bundles, for example, MATHEMATICA, MATLAB, MINITAB, R, S-PLUS, GAUSS and SYSTAT. M. Sc. Measurements program has semester example and acknowledge framework for variable credits. The program comprises of 100 credits. Credits of a course are determined against the title of the course.

Qualification

(i) B.Sc. (Inferior) with Statistics as chief and Mathematics at auxiliary level, (ii) B.Sc. (Worthless) with Mathematics as key and Statistics at backup level, (iii) M.Sc. (Worthless) in Mathematics, (iv) B.Sc. (Inferior) in Actuarial Science with Mathematics and Statistics at backup level, (v) B.Sc. (Worthless), with Statistics as one of the subjects.

Optional papers do not have prerequisites of optional subjects. The compulsory courses in all the semesters are the core courses. These have 76 (56 (theory) + 15 (practical) + 5 (project)) credits in all. There are six optional/elective courses having 24 credits.
