University of Pune MSc Biotechnology course admissions are made on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination. Here are the details of admissions:


Eligibility
The applicant should hold Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and fishery sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-year B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course); OR Medicine (MBBS) or B.D.S. with at least 55% marks.


Important dates:
1. Start of online Application process: from 10.00 a.m. on 7th February, 2014.
2. Issue of offline Application Forms (by post) : 7th February 2014
3. Last date for issue of offline Application Forms ( by post) : 11th March 2014
4. Closing of online Application Process : till 5.00 p.m. on 16th March, 2014.
5. Last date for submission of completed Application Forms to reach JNU
i) Offline Application forms : 28th March 15 2014
ii) Printed copy of online Application form : 2nd April 2014
6. Date and time of Entrance Examination : May 19, 2014 (9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon)
7. Result of Entrance Examination
i) Merit list of candidates to exercise their Option for Universities : 2nd /3rd week of June 2014
ii) Final result of allotted Universities : Last week of June/1st week of July 2014

Here I am giving you details about M.Sc. Biotechnology Course at Savitribai Phule Pune University including Admission Procedure.

Admission Procedure:
Admission is based on centralized Combined Entrance Examination for admission to M.Sc. Course conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University JNU), New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and fishery sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/ Technology, 4-year B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course); OR Medicine (MBBS) or B.D.S. with at least 55% marks.

Time Table for Admission:
1. Start of online Application process: 1st week of February
2. Issue of offline Application Forms: 2nd week of February
3. Last date for issue of offline Application Forms: 2nd week of March
4. Closing of online Application Process: 3rd week of March,
5. Date and time of Entrance Examination: 3rd week of May


Documents Required At the Time of Admission:

• Two copies of the Matriculation, Higher Secondary Pre-University of Indian School Certificate or Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an equivalent examination certificate, showing the age/date of birth of the candidate duly attested by the Principal of the College/School last attended or a Gazetted Officer.
• A character Certificate from the head of the Institution last attended;
• Two attested copies of the statement of marks obtained by the candidate in Senior School, Bachelor’s Degree/Master Degree Examination etc; or their equivalent examination;
• Two attested copies of the Bachelor’s Degree and/Master’s Degree;
• SC/ST/OBC Certificate, if belonging to SC/ST/OBC category
• A medical Certificate for PH Candidates certifying nature & percentage of disability issued by the competent medical authority.
• Migration Certificate (in original) from the Head of the Institution/University last attended.
