PTU mg

I am suffering form hyperthyroidism disease and my doctor suggest me to take a Complete Course of Propylthiouracil (PTU), he suggest me to take 100 Tablets of 50 Mg, but I fell weakness form the day I start taking this, so please tell me about reactions of this tablet and what are the precautions to be taken with it?
