The GKN technology is provides a power transfer unit to control systems power. At GKN technology the system combines a specially developed Power Transfer Unit (PTU) with GKNs Final Drive Unit (FDU) technology.

The PTU at the front of the vehicle links to the transmissions final drive differential.

An integrated fast-disconnect device and brake disengages the all-wheel drive system upstream of the PTUs hypoid gears.

The GKN technology is provides Power transfer unit for SUV, and CUV cars to controlling power.

The Physical integrating system is enabled GKN to replace a standard power transfer unit (PTU) with an advanced monoblock concept that fully integrates the propshafts constant velocity joint.

Its works as GKN Drivelines Disconnect AWD system includes a PTU, linked to the transmissions final drive differential.

The PTU contains a fast-disconnect device and brake that can bring the all-wheel drive system to rest upstream of the PTUs hypoid gears.
