For the post of Sub Inspector you require to fulfill these eligibility criteria Eligibility Criteria Must have passed Graduation degree from recognized University Age limit: 20-27 years Upper age limit relaxation 5 years for SC/ST candidates 3 years for O.B.C. candidates Physical condition Minimum Height: 1.67 meters Chest: 79 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms Weight: 51.5 kgs Training Period 2 years (1 year basic and 1 year practical) General Responsibilities Investigation of cases, Maintenance of Law and Order, Collection of intelligence Selection procedure: Physical measurement Written examination Personality test Paper Pattern: Paper – I English, General Studies and Arithmetic carrying a total of 100 marks This paper will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions on English (20 Marks), General Studies (40 Marks) Arithmetic (40 Marks) Duration: One and half hour Paper – II English (Conventional Type) Paper – III Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali (Conventional Type) Paper – II and Paper – III will carry 50 Marks each. Both the Papers will be of one hour’s duration each. |
