Union Public Service Commission conducts Drug Inspector exam.
Here are eligibility criteria:

Drug Inspector eligibility:

The applicants should have a degree in Pharmacy/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Medicine with a minimum of 45% marks obtained in the concerned qualifying exam of any recognized university/ college.
The candidates having specialization in the following subjects shall be preferred: Pharmacology/ Microbiology respectively for this purpose.

The applicants should have a minimum of 3 years work experience in the field of manufacturing/ testing of drug for being eligible in the concerned post.

Examination Pattern:

There shall be two papers in the exam for Drug Inspector.
The papers shall comprise of objective type multiple choice based questions on the following major topics:

Paper I: Pharmacy
Total Marks Allotted: 200
Duration of Exam: 2 Hours

Paper II: General Knowledge
Total Allotted Marks: 50
Duration of Exam: 1 Hour

Syllabus:
Paper I:

The syllabus shall contain subject specific questions on the following major topics: Medical Chemistry; Forensic Pharmacy; Pharmacognesy; Manufacturing Opharmacy; Pharmaceutical Analysis; Pharmacilogy & Toxicology etc

Paper II:

The Paper I shall consist of general studies and mental ability questions.
The candidates should also prepare for the General Science questions which include recent developments in the field of Science & Technology.
The next topics for study under this section include the Current Events of National and International Importance. This includes the following topics of study: History & Geography of India, Indian National Movement, Social, Economic and Cultural Issues etc

As you asking for the Drug inspector examination Drug inspector exam is conducted by UPSC in nationwide and any students who is Indian citizen and eligible for the post can apply .A students must have completed his graduation to apply for the drug inspector exam.


Eligibility criteria

EDUCATION:
candidates must be complete a degree in pharmacy of pharmaceutical sciences or medicine with specialisation in clinical pharmacology or microbiology from a recognized university

Age limit :
Min of age 21 years & Max of age 32 years


Selection in the drug inspector post in done in two stages :

1.Written exam::It is consist of two papers.

Paper-I :: Pharmacy and is of 200 marks and 2 hours duration .

Paper-II:: General Knowledge and is of 50 marks and 1 hours duration

2.Interview ::Its a personal interview test and of maximum 25 marks .

Eligibility For Drug Inspector In Himachal Pradesh
AGE: Between 18 to 45 years.

Eligibility For Drug Inspector In Assam
Age: 18 years to 43 years

Eligibility For Drug Inspector In Goa
Age: Not exceeding 42 years.

Eligibility For Drug Inspector In Andhra Pradesh, AP
Age: 18 years to 34 years
