Re: Preparation tips for the PSU’s entrance exam

In India ,Most of the PSUs require candidates to clear the GATE .

Exam Preparation Tips for PSU exam

If you are going through GATE

• determination and the confidence that you will clear GATE with excellent scores.

• clear understanding about GATE, the syllabus, the exam pattern.

• make a timetable and follow the routine.

• Do remember to make notes as you are covering the syllabus.

• Refer to past question papers. The more question papers you solve, the better you will get.

• Try to take mock tests too. The tests can be found online or in the form of books and DVDs.

• Time management is important.

If you are not going through GATE

The PSU exam can usually be broken down into two sections: technical and non-technical.

The non-technical part includes Reasoning and Aptitude, Current Affairs , General Awareness and English Reasoning.

The technical section concentrates on the subject specialisation of the related stream,

Candidates should prepare for both the sections.

Refer to past question papers, if possible.

Consult as many reference books as possible.

The Group Discussion is organized to judge the behaviour of a person, to check his leadership skills, his cooperation skills, team-building ability and presence of mind.

Keep yourself abreast with the latest in Current Affairs.

Concentrate also on general knowledge.

Reading newspapers and watching television regularly will help to a great extent.
