Candidates must start preparation for the exam of CAT before 6 months of the exam

Candidates must make a time table and gets stick to it

Candidates must use flash cards to learn definitions and formulae

Candidates must consult reference books

Candidates must solve previous year question papers as many as they can

Here for your reference I am giving you the syllabus of Common Admission Test:

CAT Verbal/English Ability Syllabus:
Reading comprehension,
verbal reasoning,
syllogisms,
analogies,
antonyms and synonyms,
fill in the blanks,
sentence correction,
idioms, etc.

CAT Quant/Maths Ability Syllabus:
Nu,ber systems,
geometry,
trogonometry,
probability,
permutation combination,
algebra,
mensuration,
time and work,
averages,
percentages,
profit and loss,
quadratic and linear equations, etc.

CAT Data Interpretation Syllabus:
Interpretation and analysis of data based on text,
tables,
graphs (line, area),
charts (column, bar, pie),
venn diagram, etc.

CAT Logical Reasoning Syllabus:
Clocks,
calendars,
binary logic,
seating arrangement,
blood relations,
logical sequence,
assumption,
premise,
conclusion,
linear and matrix arrangement, etc.

As you want I am here telling you tips for preparation of the Common Admission Test.

Tips for preparation:


Minimum 10 hours study required before the 6 months of CAT exams.

Daily two hours required to study newspapers and Editorials. (English)

Read at least two magazines, one novel each week.

Minimum 10,000 Vocabulary (new databank) required to prepare.

Try to make logical sense everywhere.

Try to solve calculations mentally.

See any type of graph in any where you find, try to interpret that as fast as possible.

Solve previous year papers .


Syllabus of CAT exam:
