Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University was established in the year 1985 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with an act in the Legislative Assembly. In the year 1990 this University received UGC recognition under 2 (F) and 12-B. The centre is to provide flexibility with regard to eligibility for enrolment, age of entry, methods of learning and conduct of examinations.
