The Assam Polytechnic (PAT) is the state level polytechnic entrance exam of Assam state. The exam is conducted the Directorate of technical Education Assam (DTE Assam) for screening candidates for various diploma courses in the field of engineering and technology


Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should be permanent residence of Assam.
The candidates must have passed high school (class 10th) or equivalent examination with Mathematics & Science as compulsory subject.

Candidate have to obtained at least 40% marks (General category), 35% marks (Schedule Caste) & 33% marks (Schedule Tribe).

Examination Pattern

The Assam PAT exam pattern comprises of one question paper having questions from Maths and Science. The paper consist of 100 objective type questions carrying one mark each, the time duration of the exam will be 2 hours.

For office management courses candidates have to undergo one separate exam having 100 objective type question from English and general knowledge.

The time duration of the paper will be 3 hours.
