Hello, here I am providing you the details of the Professional Midwives Education and Training (PMET) as under:

Midwifery
Midwives and nurses form an important part of the health workforce in many countries. They are at the front line of maternal health provision, interacting with colleagues across primary, secondary and tertiary care services.

Format for the PMET Programme
Duration
2 years

Entrance Exam
25th July

Entrance Interview
13th August

Course Commencement
15th August

No. of Classes
50 sessions – Each session is preceded by a pre-test and ends with a post-test

Teaching Format in the First Year
Twice weekly lectures (50 sessions) at quarterly intervals. Midwifery tutors from UK spend 2 - 3 weeks teaching and training these students.

Teaching Format in the Second Year
Focus is on clinical application of the knowledge gained in the first year. More emphasis given to a “hands-on” clinical experience

Exit Exam at the end of two years
