Hello, here I am providing you the details of the PhD in Public Health course offered by the TISS as under:

About the course:
The programme was conceptualized in light of the fact that the demand for health care managers and public health experts is likely to increase in the coming years.

Eligibility:
Applicants should have completed a UGC-recognised master's degree in any field at the time of application for the MPhil/PhD programme.
Those who have completed a master's degree in health administration, hospital administration or public health from the School of Health Systems Studies, TISS will complete the coursework

(Semester One)
Name of the course

Philosophical foundations of social science research and health
Theoretical perspectives on social sciences in health
Quantitative research methodology
Qualitative research methodology
Statistics for health research

(Semester Two)
Literature Review: 6 credits.
Scientific Writing: non-credited

(Semesters Three and Four)
Dissertation: 24 credits.

IInd semester
Optional courses (three): 6
Literature review: 6 credits
Scientific writing: non-credited
Total = 12 credits
