PHD in Jain University

Has the admission process in PHD computer science at Jain University stated or not? Please provide me the details about the selection for the PHD computer science, do I need to attain any entrance examination test?

One admitted into the Ph.D. program offered by Jain University is required to complete pre Ph.D. course work comprising two terms over a total duration of one year. The first two semesters (1st year) of the Ph.D. program is devoted to course work.

Successful completion of course work would confirm the registration. 2 years after successful completion of course work; one is eligible to submit the thesis.

Eligibility


One should hold a Masters Degree (from a recognized university) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% (For SC / ST candidates there is a relaxation of 5%). Selection is through an Entrance Test and Interview.
One who has passed UGC / CSIR / Fellowship holders can exempted from the Written Test; but they will need to take up the Interview.
One who is qualified for CA or ACS or ICWA with basic degree is also eligible to register for Ph.D. in this category
One who has qualified for Masters Degree prior to 1990-91 with minimum 50% marks are also eligible to register for Ph.D. program
M.Phil. degree holders will get a waiver for part of the course work of Ph.D. program
One sponsored by organizations s also eligible to apply subject to their fulfilment of the above mentioned qualifications
One who hold a Masters Degree viz., M. Tech / M. Sc (Engineering) in Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering (Structural or Associated disciplines) are eligible for the Ph.D. (Aerospace Engineering) Program.

Admission procedure

One will be required to take up a Pre Ph.D. Entrance exam comprising an Aptitude Test, a Subject Paper and an Interview.
One who has passed UGC / CSIR / Fellowship holders is exempted from the Written Test; but they will need to take up the Interview.
Reservations for SC, ST and other candidates are as per the guidelines of the Government of India.
