Aarhus University was established in the year 1928 and it is a prestigious public university located in Aarhus, Denmark.

At the end of the PhD course applicants have to submit a PhD dissertation.

The graduate school , PhD dissertation constitutes review and a number of papers, from the PhD project, equal to 3 years scientific work.

There is no fixed requirement to the number of articles.

The papers are expected to have been published in international journals.

A dissertation usually comprises the following:

Cover and Page 1 – use the corresponding templates
Review - approx. 50 pages comprising :

a) Contents

b) Introduction

c) Problem definition and hypotheses,

d) A critical presentation of the methodologies used, their advantages and disadvantage,

e) A brief presentation of the most important results ,

f) A comprehensive discussion of the results ,

g) A discussion of future aspects, if relevant
A summary in Danish and English (approximately one A4 page).

Headlines and body text must be of different font and size.
