I want to pursue Ph.D Programme from Banasthali University . As Banasthali University conducts Research Entrance Test for providing admission to Ph.D. program , so please provide the eligibility , exam pattern and syllabus of Research Entrance Test exam directed by Banasthali University ?

Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to Ph. D programme on the basis of their performance in Research Entrance Test (RET), conducted by the Banasthali Vidyapeeth University in December every year.

Eligibility Criteria

For Ph. D programmes:
One should have obtained Master degree in the relevant field of study with minimum 55% aggregate of marks or should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

One who possess at least 5 years work experience (Teaching/Industrial/Research) is given relaxation of 5% in the minimum required aggregate by the Vice-Chancellor for registration to Ph. D programme

Exemption from the requirement of appearing in RET
One who has qualified NET, SLET, GATE or M.Phil (If one was admitted to M.Phil. through a research entrance test) is exempted from the entrance test.
One belonging to the Faculty of Fine Arts (Visual Art, Music & Dance) and Design, is exempted from the entrance exam. Such candidates should contact the research section separately.
