The name of current Director General of PUPU (Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University) is Dr. C. Gopalkrishnan. He is Professor Emeritus at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University. He was also Director in Charge at the School of Petroleum Management.

He was formerly Director, Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship, and Dean of Faculty of Doctoral Studies and Research at the Nirma University. He was also on the Board of Governors of Nirma University.
