The Indian Institute of Technology Madras does not offer part time M.tech program. It offer the program in regular or Full time mode.

IIT Madras M.Tech Admission 2018 is the process through which the M.Tech seats offered by the institute are allotted to eligible candidates.

IIT Madras M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

GATE Qualified Candidates

Should have a Bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture from institutions approved by AICTE/Government OR a Masters degree in Chemistry/Life Sciences/Mathematics/Physics related subjects from institutes approved by UGC/Government.

OR should have degrees obtained through Distance education/ correspondence mode. These candidates will have to attend the suitability test/interview procedure.

The candidate should have qualified GATE and should hold a valid score. The application form of GATE 2018 was released on August 31 and closed on October 9, 2017 (8 pm).

Candidates who have appeared or are yet to appear for the final exam of the qualifying degree will be eligible for admission if his/her result will be declared by July 15, 2018.

For IIT Graduates-

The candidates should have qualified B.Tech from one of the IITs.

Should have scored CGPA of 8 (on a scale of 10). Reserved category candidates should have secure 7.5 (on a scale of 10). These candidates will be able to apply without a GATE score.
