Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for Master of Commerce Program offered by University School of Open Learning of Panjab University, Chandigarh?

The University School of Open Learning, Panjab University was established in 1971 to take university based education beyond the four walls of the University. It continues to do so and fulfils a prime social responsibility of providing education at the door step for those who are unable to access formal education.

The Course of study, the syllabi, duration and mode of examinations are the same as prescribed for regular students of University Teaching Departments/Colleges affiliated to the Panjab University.

Eligibility
(a) B Com/BBA with minimum 45 % marks in the aggregate OR

(b) B Com (Hons) degree with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate OR

(c) A graduate with Honours in Economics or Mathematics or Statistics or Commerce with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate OR

(d) A graduate with 50% marks in the aggregate having offered Economics Mathematics Statistics Commerce Computer Applications or Computer Sciences as a subject in the examination:
Provided that if one is having Bachelor degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages (Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurmukhi Script) and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other University obtained in the same manner recognised by the Syndicate 50% marks in the aggregate is calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper English and the elective subject taken together OR

(e) A pass in the final exam conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India OR

(f) Graduate from any other stream not covered in (a) to (f) above with minimum 60% marks in the aggregate

(g) One who has passed BVoc (Banking Insurance & Retailing) and BVoc (Retail Management) be given admission in the M Com Course as it has already been approved by the UGC

For Re-appear Candidates
If one has two re-appear in B Com Semester 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th one can take admission in the M Com if one has 50 % in aggregate of the passing papers
