Gujarat University, established on 23 November 1949, is a state university situated at Ahmedabad. Gujarat University is an affiliating University at the undergraduate level, while it is a teaching one at the post-graduate level.

Eligibility
Masters degree/ B.Tech/ MBBS/ M.Tech with a good academic record.

Selection Criteria
Entrance Examination

The following candidates are exempted from the entrance exam:

Qualified in SET/NET/JRF examinations of bodies such as CSIR/UGC/ ICAR/ICMR/DBT, etc.
M.Phil. degree from Gujarat University.
M.Phil. degree candidates from another statutory University whose admission at M.Phil. has been done through an entrance test.
Those students who have cleared any fellowship/scholarship examinations and are eligible to receive fellowship from national bodies
Candidates who appeared in the latest GATE/CAT and have scored more than 75 percentile.
