SC/ST and BC candidates of the total number of seats available in each methodology, following is the schedule of reservation of seats for these categories:

Scheduled Tribe: 06%
Schedule Cast: 15%

Admission Procedure:
The admissions shall be made in the order of merit on the basis of the rank obtained in the B.Ed. (distance mode) entrance test

Scheme of B.Ed. Entrance Test:
The common entrance test will be of objective type with 100 multiple choice questions and of 90 minutes duration

Part-A

General English: 20 marks

Part -B

i) General Knowledge: 10 marks
ii) Teaching aptitude: 10marks
(Part-A and Part-B is common for all the candidates irrespective of Methodology)

Part -C

Methodology: Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects and it consists of 60 questions for 60 marks

i) Mathematics: 60 marks
ii) Physical Sciences: 60 marks (Physics: 30 marks & Chemistry: 30 marks)
iii) Biological Sciences: 60 marks (Botany: 30 marks & Zoology: 30 marks)
iv) Social Studies: 60 marks (Geography: 20 marks, History: 20 marks, Civics: 10 marks & Economics: 10 marks)
v) Special English: 60 marks

The reservation of seats for Osmania University Hyderabad Distance Education B.Ed Seats is given below:

Local and Non-Local Candidates:
Admission to 85 percent of the vacant seats in every methodology shall be reserved in favour of the Local applicants in relation to the local area in respect of O.U. subject to community and other reservations in force.

The remaining 15 percent of the seats which are open to both local and non-locals shall be filled up subject to similar reservation as applicable to 85 percent local candidates

SC/ST and BC Candidates of the total number of seats available in each methodology, following is the schedule of reservation of seats for these categories

Scheduled Tribe (ST): 06 percent
Schedule Caste (SC): 15 percent

Admission Procedure

The admissions shall be made in the order of merit on the basis of the rank obtained in the BEd (distance mode) entrance test.

The percentage of applicants to be admitted in each methodology (subject) shall not exceed the limit prescribed by the University / Government from time to time.

The percentage of admissions into the five methodologies as per the rules in vogue is as follows:
a) Mathematics Methodology (MS): 01/25 percent
b) Physical Sciences Methodology (PS): 02/10 percent
c) Biological Science Methodology (BS): 03/20 percent
d) Social Studies Methodology (SS): 04/35 percent
e) English (EM): 05/10 percent
