The Osmania University is a public state university. The Osmania University is located in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The Osmania University was founded in 1918. The Osmania University is founded by Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan.

It is the seventh oldest university in India, the first to be established in the erstwhile princely State of Hyderabad.

History of Establishment of Osmania University:



The development of the University may be divided into four phases, viz.:

1st Phase 1918 to 1947
2nd Phase 1948 to 1968
3rd phase 1969 to 1993
4th Phase 1994 onwards
