The workshop aims to motivate and provide adequate exposure to young students and researchers at school college/university level from Guwahati and NE region in the general areas of optics and optical technologies along with its engineering applications.

Events:

Lecture Series Session:

Lecture series is designed to increase the knowledge in optics and related technologies in science and engineering application with a very fundamental approach offered by pioneers of the field.

Research Paper Presentation (for research scholars)
This session aims to provide a platform for research students to present/share their original research through contributed-research-paper and explore futuristic research & applications with eminent field experts.

Thematic Paper Presentation (for BSc, BTech, and MSc students):
presentation on any of the topics that include, but not limited to.

Indian contribution to optics during ancient/medieval/modern era
optics in communication technologies
optics in space science
optics in medical application
optics in aviation
optics in combating terrorism & homeland security

Model Exhibition:

Model exhibition aims to provide an exceptional platform for BSc, BTech and MSc students to think and utilize their innovative ideas for highlighting the optics in various science and technological applications through a working model.
