In light of the demand for help made by the Government of Sri Lanka and as an outflow of our solidarity, Prime Minister of India, reported on May 19, 2016 that India would give help on crisis premise to help those influenced by the surges and avalanches in different parts of Sri Lanka. In accordance with this dedication, India dispatched two boats of the Indian Navy from Kochi on the morning of May 20, 2016, conveying different alleviation supplies.
