Hey as The Indian Space Research Organisation, is the space agency of the Indian government headquartered in the city of Bangalore

As per my idea at present there is no Internship Program and vacancy for scientist which was declared in august .its last date also get over

Educational qualification

BE/B.Tech/BSc Grad IETE/AMIE in Civil Engineering in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of marks of all semesters for which results are available)

Age Limit:

35 years as on 24-08-2015 (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates - wherever posts reserved for these categories. Ex-serviceman and Persons with Disabilities[PWD] are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders).

Selection Procedure:

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the interview/exam conducted by the organization.

Online apply

Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. E-mail ID of the applicant will have to be given in the application compulsorily.

The on-line application has to be invariably followed-up with a 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer concerned, by those already in employment under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies, duly indicating the name and Reg. No. on the reverse.


Payment of Application Fee :

There will be an Application Fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) for each application. After registration of application on-line, the candidates have to down-load and print the personalized payment challan form, in triplicate, from the ISRO system which will contain the Name of the candidate, Registration Number, Receipt Account Number, Advertisement No., and Post code.

The candidates may visit the nearest branch of State Bank of India for remittance of application fee to Receipt Account (32034064593), by using the personalized payment challan of State Bank of India

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of the Government of India headquartered in the city of Bengaluru.

There are three ways in which you can apply for an internship at ISRO, The first being that you can send them an email and enclose your resume and a cover letter along with it. The cover letter should include a proper salutation and why you want to work with ISRO.

You can talk about how you are a perfect fit for the internship opportunity and are eager to learn and grow as an individual.

The second method would be that you dig in the connections you have and see if you know someone who already works at ISRO.

Ask them to recommend your name or send an internship request in your name.

The third method, which is widely accepted and appreciated by ISRO, is that you get someone from your institute to contact ISRO on your behalf.

For that, you can talk to the Head of your Department or the Training and Placement officer at your institute and ask them to send a formal request on your behalf.

Once you hear back from them, then you can further mail in your resume.

Many of the Centres under Department of Space (DOS) of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) have initiatives to support students in the area of space science and technology.


The programmes include Internships [summer Internship, Winter Internship, Long Term Internship], curriculum based projects [Projects for B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, etc], conduct of multi-theme and multi-level training programme / awareness workshops, etc.


Some Centres provide an opportunity to carry out the project work as part of student’s academic curriculum. Opportunity is provided for both undergraduate (B.E/B.Tech) and Post-graduate (M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA) students to carry out their project work.


Other Centres provides opportunity to students and college teachers for internships in various domains. Projects / Training are possible in the following areas: Electronics, Remote sensing and GIS, Digital systems, Astronomy, Planetary & Space Atmospheric Sciences, Mechanical, Mathematical modelling, Electro-optics, Astrophysics, Atomic, Molecular & Optical Physics, Civil, Image processing, Microwave, Solar Physics, Theoretical Physics, Electrical, RF systems, Radars, Earth, and Chemistry.


Training in the field of Remote Sensing, Geo-informatics and GPS Technology for Natural Resources and Disaster Management is also offered.


Applying for Internship

The first step is to Email a complete application form to the HR of the nearest ISRO research center. The direct application process for ISRO has very low conversion rates. The best ways to apply for ISRO internship are through college ‘Training and Placement’ cell or through referrals.


Make sure, one has all the necessary documents before starting internship. First preference is always given to students whose relatives or friends work with ISRO.
It is a good idea to send application form through someone who is already working there.

The Schemes of the Internship at ISRO


Work-experience internship or WEI – It is particularly offered to engineering students who are still studying and are looking to add experience to their profile. Students in their final year or semester of the college can apply for this internship. Its duration is 4 to 6 months


Dissertation internship or DI – It is specifically offered to postgraduate students studying in any Indian college. The students get a chance to work with the scientists and engineers at SAC. Its duration is 6 to 12 months.


Research Internship or RI – It is offered to PhD scholars working under any professor in an Indian institution. However, the catch here is that their thesis work should be relevant to the kind of work pursued in SAC. Its duration is 4 to 12 months.
