Structural Engineering-Branch of engineering that deals with study and plan of structures which supports or resist loads.

Mechanics: Discipline of science and technology that deals with the reaction of physical bodies when subjected to force and its resulting effects. It includes topics-Bending Moment and Shear Force in Statically Determinate Beams. Simple Strain and Stress Relationship: Strain and Stress in Two Dimensions, Stress Transformation, Principal Stresses, Mohr’s Circle, Simple Bending Theory, Shear and Flexural Stresses, Shear Centre, Unsymmetrical Bending, Uniform Torsion, Thin Walled Pressure Vessels, Buckling of Column, Direct and Combined Bending Stresses.
Structural Analysis:To find out the effects of load on physical structures and their components. Concrete Structures: High thermal concrete. It include topics-Concrete Technology- Basics of Mix Design, Properties of Concrete. Concrete Design- Basic Working Stress and Limit State Design Concepts, Analysis of Ultimate Load Capacity and Design of Members Subjected to Flexure, Compression, Shear and Torsion by Limit State Methods. Steel Structures: It deals with the steel construction material which is formed with a particular shape & certain standard of chemical composition. Air Pollution: Introduction of particulate matter into the air to pollute it. It includes topics-Types of Pollutants, their impacts and sources, Air Pollution Meteorology, Air Quality Standards and Limits, Air Pollution Control.
Municipal Solid Wastes: Waste or garbage that consists of everyday discarded materials. It includes topics- Generation, Characteristics, Collection and Transportation of Solid Wastes, Engineered Systems for Solid Waste Management (Recycle/ Reuse, Treatment, Energy Recovery and Disposal).
