The number of students appearing for the CLAT exam is increasing around 200% from 2008 to 2016. This year it will be more compared to previous years.

CLAT 2016
Common Law Admission Test has recorded over 13% increase in applications for admission year 2016. CLAT Convenor Dr. G.I.S Sandhu exclusively told that a total of 45,041 candidates have applied for the national level law entrance exam. Last year, a total of 39,686 candidates had registered for the test.

A total of 23517 male applicants have submitted their CLAT 2016 Application Forms, while as many as 21520 female candidates and 4 Transgender candidates have submitted the applications.

As many as 67,693 applicants had registered for CLAT 2016 out of which 22,652 candidates did not submit the application fee. In the five-day extension window that the CLAT committee had offered, a total of 2,053 fresh candidates applied for the exam.

This year the CLAT Committee had also scrapped the age bar of 22 years for the coveted law entrance exam. However, the move could only add 5, 355 more applications as compared to the last year.

Last year, a total of 45,140 applications were registered for CLAT of which 39,686 were finally submitted with application fee.

CLAT Application Numbers over the years –
While, CLAT 2016 has as many as 45,041 final applications, in 2015 the number was 39,686. In 2014 and 2013 the number of CLAT applicants was 31,231 and 30,915 respectively.

The National Law University Odisha, Cuttack (NLUO) will conduct Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for the admission.

The CLAT is an entrance test conducted for the admission to UG law courses and LLM course across the country.

As on March 14, 2018, there are 32,628 students have registered for this national-level law entrance exam.

CLAT application process was close on March 31, 2018. Over the past few years, CLAT registrations are increasing.

Last year, the number of applications submitted for CLAT was increased by 13%.

Number of seats offered 2420

Number of Test-takers Over 50,000

CLAT witnessed a record-breaking participation for the law entrance exam. There were 45,040 aspirants who appeared for the exam.

For CLAT 2017, nearly 47,106 candidates appeared for the law entrance exam.
