Detailed information related to NTPC exam is given below.

Eligibility:
Applicants who have completed their graduation in B.Tech/B.E engineering degree with maximum marks.
Applicants in the third Year are also eligible to apply for the exam.

Exam pattern:
NTPC Diploma Trainee Exam Pattern consists of 120 questions
The exam consists of two parts:

Part-I: Subject Knowledge Test
This is specific to your discipline of Electrical Engineering.-70 marks
Part-I: Aptitude Test.
Common for all disciplines comprises of following topics. -50 marks
English
Reasoning
Quantative aptitude
There is negative marking in this NTPC exam: 1/4th mark for each wrong answer!

1. Artisan Trainee: 129 Posts
(i) Electrician: 55 Posts
(ii) Fitter: 30 Posts
(iii) Instrument Mechanic: 44 Posts
2. Lab Assistant Trainees: 14 Posts
Total No.of Posts: 143

Age Limit:
Aspiring Candidates age limit should be 18-27 years for
Sr.No:1 Post, 18-30 years for Sr.No:2 Post as on 11-08-2014.

Educational Qualification:
Aspiring Candidates must possess Full time regular ITI Fitter/ Electrician/ Instrument Mechanics/ Electronics for
Sr.No:1 Post, B.Sc (Chemistry) for Sr.No:2 Post.

Selection Process:
Shortlisted aspirants will be called for written test, interview.
