The NTPC Limited has an upcoming Meja Thermal Power Station. The Meja Thermal Power Station is an upcoming coal-based thermal power plant located in Meja Tehsil in Allahabad district, Uttar Pradesh.

The power plant is owned by the Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited is a joint venture between NTPC Limited and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam.

This project has been proposed by a joint venture of NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL).

The NTPC and UPRVUNL are both 50% shareholders in the joint venture company, Meja Urja Nigam Private Limited.
