NTPC Assistants Chemist Trainee Written Test Pattern is given below for your idea . NTPC Test will be conducted in online mode. No. of questions (objective type multiple choice) – 150 (Chemistry – 120 & General Aptitude – 30) Duration of the Test – 2 hours Each question carries 1 mark. ¼ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. Syllabus A. Physical Chemistry Atomic Structure States of Matter Chemical Thermodynamics Chemical and ionic Equilibrium Redox Reactions Phase equilibria & Solutions Electrochemistry Chemical Kinetics Surface Chemistry Nuclear Chemistry B. Preparation, Properties and reactions of Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes Organic compounds with functional group containing halogens Organic compounds with functional group containing oxygen Organic compounds with functional group containing nitrogen Reactions of a, b unsaturated carbonyl and acids Polymers Reactions of Benzene and hetro cyclic compounds Urea and malonic easter Spectroscopy measurements including IR, UV, NMR (proton and carbon 13) Biomolecules – Carbohydrates, Protein, Vitamins, Nucleic Acid, Lipids, Hormones Environmental Chemistry Chemistry in everyday life C. NTPC Limited is National Thermal Power Corporation Assistant Chemist Trainee. It is a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities. Paper Structure The paper will have 2 sections First will have 70 technical questions relevant to your field Second will be for Aptitude Test which will contain 50 multiple choice questions. The aptitude part will have questions on English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. There will be 1/4 negative marking which will be deducted for wrong answer.
